Whether they’re in The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, or downtown Houston, we strive to give each of our clients the best remodeling experience. However, as you’ll be sharing space with our workers throughout the construction, we think it’s best that you have an understanding of what to expect.
This is where we send representatives out to discuss your vision for your new kitchen. From what sort of cabinets you want to the colors, trim, and hardware, we’ll work with you to design every detail.
Once they understand what you want the project, our designers will immediately set to work finding the paints, woods, and other materials that will best invoke your vision while preserving your budget. Once this is complete, you’ll receive a detailed blueprint or comp image to approve.
When you’re dealing with kitchen remodels in and around Houston, you need to get permits to work on the water supply, plumbing, and electricity. We’ll help you get these all on order, so you aren’t left running around the city.
There isn't really one answer to this question since it largely depends on the space available in your home and what works best for your family's needs. However, here are a few things to consider when deciding on the ideal size for your kitchen:
- How many people will be using the kitchen regularly? If you have a large family or entertain often, you'll need more space than if you're cooking for two.
- What kind of foods do you typically make? If you love to cook elaborate meals, you'll want a larger kitchen with more counter space and storage. On the other hand, if you prefer simpler fare, a smaller kitchen may suffice.
- Do you entertain guests in the kitchen?
With everything in order, we can get to work as soon as you give us the word. Though each project will have its own unique timeline, you’ll be assigned a personal project manager to keep you informed of our progress, answer questions, etc. This process consists of:
Demolition
Out with the old and in with the new! Once you’ve cleared your cabinets of all plates and food, we can immediately start removing the old frames and doors.
Framing
This is where we begin to add the structural elements that will make up your new kitchen design. At the same time, we may remove old framing to make room.
Rough-Ins
This is where the electricians, plumbers, and other experts will come in to do any modifications or installations to your utilities.
Walls and Ceilings
If there is any need for drywall, this is the point where that will be installed.
Floors
Depending on the type of flooring you have installed, this process can be quick or relatively time-consuming. However, you can always rest assured it will be done right.
Counters & Cabinets
Whether you’re having prefabricated or custom cabinets installed, this is where we’ll finally start making your new kitchen look like a kitchen.
Appliances
The appliances are what will really bring the space together into one cohesive unit. After a bit of polishing and cleaning up, your new kitchen should be ready to use!
Our teams are trained to treat your space, your property, and you with the utmost respect throughout the entire remodeling process. That means showing up on time, getting as much done as time allows, and leaving the area as clean as possible every day.
A kitchen renovation can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on the scope of the project. If you're just doing some minor updates, like painting or new cabinets, you can probably get away with a shorter timeline. But if you're gutting your kitchen and starting from scratch, it's going to take much longer.
It depends on the layout of your home and what you want to use the space for. If you have a open floor plan, putting in flooring first may make the most sense. You can always add cabinets later if you want to create defined spaces. But, if you know you will be using a certain area for cooking or entertaining, putting cabinets in first can give that space more structure and function. It really depends on your individual needs and tastes!
The general rule of thumb is that appliances should be installed before countertops. This is because appliances need to be properly secured to the underlying cabinets, and it can be difficult to do this after the countertop has been installed. Additionally, appliances must be properly aligned with the countertop, and this is easier to do before the countertop is in place. However, there are some exceptions to this rule. For example, if you are installing a cooktop or range hood, you may need to install the countertop first so that you can properly measure and cut the holes for venting. You should always consult with a professional kitchen designer or contractor before making any final decisions about appliance and countertop installation.
Looking for a Kitchen Remodeling Service? Here are a few things to look for!
When you’re trying to find the right kitchen remodeling service, there are a lot of different factors to consider. Obviously, you want to find a service that is within your budget and matches your vision for your new kitchen. But there are other things to consider as well, such as the reputation of the company, their customer service, and more.
It depends on the size of your kitchen and the level of remodeling you're looking for. Basic changes like painting, changing out cabinet hardware, or installing a new backsplash can be done for a few hundred dollars. If you're looking to do a more extensive overhaul, like tearing down walls or installing new appliances, it will likely cost thousands of dollars.
